PassAI ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use passai.pro and our related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name through Supabase authentication. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled securely by Supabase.

Uploaded Documents

You may upload syllabi and course documents (PDF, Word, or text). This content is processed by our AI system to extract deadlines and build study plans. Document content is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing and is governed by Anthropic's data usage policies. We store extracted structured data (assignments, deadlines) linked to your account in our database; raw document files are not retained beyond the extraction session.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with PassAI — features used, pages visited, and actions taken — to improve the service. This includes anonymized analytics data collected via Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics.

Payment Information

Paid subscriptions are processed through Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details. We receive from Lemon Squeezy a customer ID, subscription status, and the last 4 digits of your card for display purposes only.

Communications

If you opt in, we send daily study reminder emails via Resend. You may unsubscribe at any time from within the app or by emailing us.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the PassAI service, including AI-generated study plans
To process subscription payments and manage your billing status
To send you scheduled study reminder emails (with your consent)
To respond to support requests and inquiries
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
To analyze usage patterns and improve the product

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with the following third parties only to the extent necessary to operate PassAI:

Supabase — authentication, database storage, and row-level security
Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI processing of uploaded document content
Lemon Squeezy — payment processing and subscription management
Resend — transactional and reminder email delivery
Google Analytics — anonymized web analytics
Vercel Analytics — performance and usage analytics
Crisp — in-app customer support chat

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data and associated records from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. To request deletion, email passaisupport@gmail.com.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Supabase Row-Level Security (RLS) to enforce per-user data isolation, CSRF protection on all state-changing endpoints, and HMAC-SHA256 signature verification on payment webhooks. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Delete your account and associated data
Opt out of marketing and reminder emails at any time
Export your data by contacting us

PassAI is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PassAI after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
